Consortium Agreements
Students may choose to take classes at another institution and still receive their aid from UT. In order to be eligible to do a consortium agreement, the student must be a degree seeking student and eligible for at the home institution (in this case, UT Knoxville) and be enrolled as a transient student at the host institution. The student should be aware that not all schools will recognize a consortium agreement and they must consider this before completing the consortium agreement.
In order to have the consortium agreement processed you must do the following:
- Submit a copy of your schedule for the term you intend to use aid through the consortium agreement.
- Submit a copy of how the courses will transfer back to UTK. This information is available on the UTK Registrar’s Office website. You will need to look for the Course Equivalency Tables to see if your college’s Course Equivalency Table is listed.
- Provide a name and contact number phone and fax number of someone in the Financial Aid Office at the Host School.
- Make an appointment with your Financial Aid Counselor by calling 865-974-3131 to set up an appointment to complete the Consortium Agreement. Please bring all required documentation with you.
